Montreal Media to Develop International Web Site for Kontron Industries.
Montreal Quebec, March 21-The web service company Montreal Media will design and
develop an integrated corporate web site for Kontron Industries, a multinational
computer hardware manufacturer and distributor that has recently acquired companies
in Germany, Denmark, Taiwan, Canada, and the United States. The new site will
integrate the product lines from the several new business units and will operate
in English, French and German, to serve suppliers from across the globe.
"I am very pleased that a hardware manufacturer with such a major presence as
Kontron has decided to have us take them through the integration of several
company sites from three continents and five different countries," said Montreal
Media President Robert Swick when announcing the contract.
Kontron supplies manufacturers, system integrators and end users with computer
boards and integrated systems. From rugged portables, to rack-mounted devices,
Kontron now serves industries around the globe by creating manufacturing systems,
medical equipment, telecommunications networks, electronic kiosks and transaction
technology.
Montreal Media has been working with Kontron since March 2000 through its partner
company, Teknor Applicom (now Kontron Industrial Computing). Mr. Swick says his
firm's experience with high-technology manufactures and international clients helped
them to give a stronger Internet presence, and they will now do the same for the
entire family of Kontron companies.
"Being in Montreal gives us several advantages for companies like Teknor," Swick
said. "With a highly skilled and multilingual workforce, Montreal Media is better
positioned to help North American companies communicate with partners and customers
from around the world."
