Montreal Media Launched Three Online Marketing Sites in Recent Weeks
December 18, 2002, Montreal, Quebec - Montreal Media launched three online marketing sites in
recent weeks. A site for Mont Blanc Ski resort, a site
for an international activist group working to save the
Grizzly bear from extinction and a site for a Montreal-based technology company
(Design Workshop).
"The diversity of these websites reflects the fact that our core skill is in understanding and
facilitating our clients needs", says Brent Barrett, Vice President of Montreal Media.
The Mont Blanc ski resort site is an integrated campaign that included the website as well as
a winter brochure, an e-mail marketing and permission marketing e-mail campaign, and search engine
promotion. "The search engine promotion has been extremely successful", says Mont Blanc's General
Director, Joanne Alford. "Most of our reservations are now coming through the website and the
reservations themselves are up 14% from last year."
"The home page of the Mont Blanc site
also positions Mont Blanc in a space that is really uniquely theirs," says Rob Swick, President of
Montreal Media. "Mont Blanc is a great mountain for skiing - pure and simple. Not pretentious,
just great skiing, with trails for every level of skier and at a low cost relative to the Mont
Tremblant type hills."
Grizzly People is an organization that is trying to raise the profile of the Grizzly Bear to
the protected status of the apes and chimpanzees. Grizzly People founder Timothy Treadwell, a
frequent guest on David Letterman says "the new website is fantastic. Montreal Media has been
a tremendous help with our cause."
Design Workshop is a Montreal-based success story in computer aided design software. The
company's software is used around the world by engineers to design microelectronics and photonic
devices and components.
